Statment of Interest

A day for the software developer intern will start with coming to work at 9, and will start with reviewing all new emails, meeting schedules, and making a list of tasks that need to be done before and after lunch. Additionally, if the intern has any questions or ideas about the project, he will schedule a 1:1 with his manager. With the 1 or 2 main progress meetings with the whole team in a week, they are outlining the plan for the project for the next week and answering all the questions for the intern. By the end of the presentation SWE intern will be making a summary presentation of the completed work in the last 12 weeks, showing the progress and overall impact of his internship.

My own biggest interest in this field is the scale of impact on people. Working with any product in a company that is used by millions of people gives me more sense and motivation of learning how to do more and even better. Understanding that a small contribution can slightly change the life of each person who uses a smartphone to speak with family, a taxi app to get to work, or a streaming platform to have a good evening, giving a lot of comfort to society, which is so basic nowadays.

A possible combination of research for new methods and industrial work for companies provides more cross-organizational opportunities without being restricted to only industrial or academic positions. I, as a person who loves learning and creating new ideas, am ready to work in-depth and build communication with the clients through the software, looking for new ways of improving everyday experience, ensuring the stability of every piece of the product, and using my technical skills to slightly change our future. But to make my work even more productive, I need to explore all the different possible spheres of software engineering thought next few years in university, and find the one that I am inspired about the most. By choosing the field with which I want to work precisely, I will be able to improve very niche and in-demand technical skills that are needed for the success of this product, and deliver great work starting as an intern and advancing into my career ladder.
